The problem

Clerks still hand-key container numbers into 1990s-era YMS while a $50K scanner gun sits broken in the office.

Three steps. No installer.

Designed so signup to first gate scan typically takes under 10 minutes.³ The phone in the clerk's pocket is the scanner.

Clerk scans the container

Open the camera in Vantage. Point at the container number plate. AI OCR reads it in degraded conditions — rust, fog, faded paint.

— 02

Vantage validates instantly

On-device first, cloud-validated, math-checked — 5-stage AI validation. The clerk almost never has to re-key.

Yard updates in real time

Slot assigned. Driver notified. Manager dashboard updates. Downstream tasks unlock only after gate-in completes.

AI OCR

AI OCR built for degraded conditions.

Most yard scanners struggle with rust, fog, and faded paint. Vantage is designed to read containers in the conditions clerks actually face — through a 5-stage AI validation pipeline, not a single guess.

  1. On-device read. Google ML Kit reads the number right on the phone — free, offline, no round-trip.
  2. Cloud fallback. If a read looks uncertain and you’re online, GPT-4o vision re-reads it with a container- and trailer-specific prompt.
  3. ISO 6346 math check. Container numbers are verified against the modulo-11 check digit — a number that fails the math can’t pass as valid.
  4. Confusable recovery. Common OCR swaps (O↔0, I↔1, B↔8, S↔5) are corrected by position, then re-verified.
  5. Correction learning. Every clerk edit is captured, so recurring misreads get recognized over time.

Field benchmark in progress — email for current results. Real-world accuracy varies by lighting, container condition, and camera quality.

Features

Built for the deck, not the office.

Every detail — from font size to offline behavior — comes from time on the yard. Glove-thick gloves, 4 a.m. shifts, dead zones, freezing rain.

Mobile-native

No fixed gate hardware. No installer.

Your existing iPhone or Android is the scanner, camera, and terminal. Spin up a new yard before lunch.

Offline-first

14-day queue. Gate never stops.

500 transactions cached locally. Walk into the dead zone — finish the cycle. Last-write-wins on reconnect.

Inspection

7-point inspection workflow.

Digital 7-point checklist designed for CBP requirements. Photo audit pack with SHA-256 hash and driver signature.

Real-time

Every slot, every move.

Live yard map. Manager sees the whole yard from any browser. Drivers and forklift operators get tasks instantly.

Carrier portal

Self-serve appointments.

Carriers book, edit, and track without a phone call. Public tracking link for shippers — no login required.

Driver-zero-touch

Drivers don't tap, type, or scan.

The clerk owns capture. Downstream actions are gated on completed scans — that's how full gate capture happens.

Bilingual ready

EN · ES · KO · ZH.

The clerk picks their own language at login. US 3PLs with Spanish-speaking gate staff get an immediate first-day fit.

Kaleris AI Gate (announced Apr 2026) — requires fixed cameras⁴
Built-in. Phone camera. No fixed hardware.
¹ "Traditional YMS" refers to enterprise-tier yard management systems generally. Specific competitor terms, pricing, and capabilities vary; verify with the vendor before any decision.
² Many enterprise YMS publish per-user, per-month pricing in partner directories; total cost depends on user count, modules, and contract terms. Time-to-live and contract claims reflect publicly available implementation guides for representative vendors as of 2026-05; specific timelines vary by site complexity.
³ "Typically under 10 minutes" reflects our onboarding workflow target, not an SLA. Actual time-to-first-scan depends on Apple Developer / Google Play install latency, network condition, and number of yard slots configured. We do not publish measured performance figures yet. Time-to-first-scan, app cold start, and crash-free session rate are being collected from real installs, and we will publish them here once the sample is large enough to be meaningful rather than estimated. If you want the current internal numbers before then, email hello@vantageyms.com and we will send what we have, including the sample size.
⁴ Kaleris AI Gate Vision was publicly announced at MODEX on 2026-04-13. Capabilities and deployment requirements are based on the public announcement; verify directly with Kaleris for current product specifications.
Pricing

Simple. Transparent.
No surprises.

All plans include the full app, the carrier portal, and the 14-day offline queue. No overage fees — your monthly bill is exactly your plan price.

FAQ

Every seat at the table, answered.

B2B decisions involve four to six people. Here are the questions we get from each role — answered before the trial.

No. The clerk's existing phone is the scanner. No mounted readers, no kiosks, no Windows PC at the gate.
The gate keeps running. Up to 500 transactions cache locally for up to 14 days, then sync on reconnect with last-write-wins conflict resolution and a dead-letter queue for manual review.
Your monthly bill equals your plan price — no per-user surcharges, no hidden charges. Transactions don't accrue overage fees; see the next FAQ for what changes at high volume. 14-day free trial with no setup fee — payment method required at sign-up, no charge until day 15. Cancel anytime from the billing portal.
Three things count: Gate IN, Gate OUT, and Yard Check (per cycle). Everything else is unlimited and free — yard moves, driver ID scans, reports, dashboards, carrier appointments. Most operations track 4-5 transactions per truck on average.
Gate scans continue uninterrupted. Cloud OCR fallback may pause until upgrade — on-device OCR keeps running, so the clerk's scan flow is uninterrupted. You'll see a notification when you approach your monthly limit, so the upgrade is your call, not a surprise.
Yes. The 7-point CTPAT inspection workflow is included on Pro and above. Each inspection generates an audit support pack with photos, GPS, timestamp, inspector ID, driver signature, and a SHA-256 content hash — designed to support customs and security audit workflows.
Each 7-point inspection generates an audit support pack: photos, GPS, timestamp, inspector ID, driver signature, and a SHA-256 content hash. Designed to support customs and security audit workflows. Vantage is not a CBP-certified or C-TPAT-member entity; the Service supports Customer's own compliance program.
Monthly billing. Cancel anytime from your account. Annual billing available at a 15% discount, but it's optional, never required.
Yes. All primary touch targets are 56dp (oversized vs. iOS 44pt / Android 48dp standard) for glove use. High-contrast UI for direct sunlight. Designed for one-handed operation.
No. Carriers use a web portal at carrier.vantageyms.com. Public tracking links for shippers — no account required.
Designed so signup to first gate scan typically takes under 10 minutes.³ Add yard layout, invite team, and you're running. No on-site engineer required.
Vantage runs entirely on a phone and needs no RFID readers, gate cameras, or sensors. It does not read RFID tags, so it neither requires nor depends on your existing gate hardware. You can retire that hardware or keep it for other uses. Trailer and container numbers are read by the phone camera with 5-stage AI validation instead.
Yes. Vantage is trailer yard management software for retail distribution centers and 3PL warehouses running roughly 20 to 80 dock doors: gate in/out, trailer scanning, a live yard map, and yard moves, all from a phone. Retail inbound, outbound, or a mixed trailer yard all use the same workflow.

Founder · NEUMAX LLC

Built by an SCM/Logistics operator, for SCM/Logistics operators.

Supply chain operations is full of clerks manually re-keying container numbers into 1990s-era YMS while a $50K scanner gun sits broken in the office.

Vantage replaces that with the phone already in their pocket. The product is real, the code is shipping, and the price is built for operators who want transparency.

If your current YMS feels like it was built for a warehouse that doesn't exist anymore — try Vantage free for 14 days. No setup fee. No demo call required — but we're happy to give you one.
